France
Back in the 1980s Ian spent over 7 years of his life studying to become an architect. He was lucky that during the long summer vacations each year he managed to find temporary work as a bi-lingual receptionist in a hotel in city centre Paris.
France, and Paris in particular, began to feel like a second home and Ian managed to combine his architectural studies with his love of the city - his post graduate architectural dissertation described the whole scale reconstruction of the city that took place during the Second Empire.
Ian met his wife while working in the city and their children have dual UK and French nationality. They often travel to France for vacations and to visit family.
Ian hopes that his love for the French and their beautiful country shows in the fine art landscape and architectural photos in this gallery.
