The Northumbrian coast bordering Scotland is truly beautiful and dramatic with more castles than any other county in England - Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh and the 'Holy Island' of Lindisfarne are all spectacular.
This gallery also contains images from the city of Newcastle and neighbouring Gateshead. As well as iconic architecture and sculpture such as 'The Sage' building and 'The Angel of the North', bridges are some of Ian's favourites so you will also find images of the Tyne bridge, the Swing bridge and the High Level bridge.
